Brookstone Builders, Inc. Breaks Ground
for Areas Largest Volume Subaru Dealer

COMING SOON TO MANCHESTER: ONE-STOP AUTO & ATV SHOPPING

MANCHESTER, NH – (August 1, 2007)Brookstone Builders, Inc., construction managers and general contractors headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, announced that groundbreaking recently took place on Second Street for a significantly expanded Manchester Subaru dealership.

Scheduled for a fall grand opening, the new facility will feature an enhanced retail showroom for new and used cars, a complete service department, body repair shop and ASJ Motorsports, a fully-owned subsidiary that will sell and service four-wheelers, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), scooters and dune buggies.

“We’re the largest volume Subaru dealership in New England and the fourth-largest in the country,” said Manchester Subaru Owner Todd Berkowitz. “With what will soon be over six-thousand square feet of usable space, we will be able to provide expanded services and even more comprehensive customer care.”

Aside from taking advantage of the added space and extended hours, local customers will also have access to a fleet of service loaner cars, upgraded shuttle service, expanded parking and a convenient one-stop shop for both automobile and ATV sales and service.

“It’s truly rewarding to work with local business owners like Todd, and to help improve the level of services available to the Manchester community,” said Paula Scales, President of Brookstone Builders. “We’re also happy about adding ASJ Motor Sports and their impressive facility to our growing profile of design/build construction projects.”

In design/build delivery, the general contractor is actively involved in preconstruction services such as preliminary design, budgeting and permitting. Many consider the design/build method to be the most efficient choice, as various phases of construction and design can be done simultaneously. Since initial design decisions are made via collaboration between the builder, owner and architect, this approach often reduces or eliminates an owner’s risk of finding out too late that a desired design is unaffordable or, for various reasons, impractical.

Manchester Subaru will remain fully-operational during construction and plans to hire more than a dozen workers due to the operation’s overall expansion.

“We’re all very excited about the expansion,” Berkowitz said. “Over the years we have consistently been rated among the highest for customer satisfaction. Now we will be able to offer enhanced customer service and extended hours, and also create a few new jobs in the process.

“We’ve been very pleased with Brookstone Builders too. They’ve made us feel like they’re building the building for us, and not just to build it. Their PM [Project Manager] has been very diligent at keeping the project on track as well as fully contained while we conduct business as usual during construction.”
